Annie Rigg is a well established food writer and stylist with over 20 years experience. Her latest book Pies and Tarts is published by Quadrille in October 2018. A Leith’s trained chef, she spent 8 years working in all manner of kitchens from restaurants and high-end caterers to cooking for rock-and-roll royalty and travelling the world.
Following a six year stint at Sainsbury’s Magazine as deputy food editor working for Delia Smith, she then jumped into the freelance food styling and recipe writing world. She has since written 15 cook books under her own name and numerous others as a ghost writer. She has food styled on over 150 cookbooks, many best-sellers, covering subjects as varied as gluten-free baking to Korean street-food and travelling from Egypt to Ireland with her toolbox and tweezers.
She also develops and tests recipes for other writers, publishers, restaurants, brands, production companies and retail clients and regularly contributes features to leading food and lifestyle magazines.
Annie lives in the Hampshire countryside where she can be found either in the kitchen, pottery studio, garden or walking miles over the hills with her two Bosnian rescue hounds.
